Transition December 27 – January 3, 2025 Mercury Cycles and the Next Full Moon
Transition Time
As we wrap up 2025, my last thoughts for this year are strange, as if we’re on an assignment, assisting segments of humanity into a new world. In addition to this, energetically we could be working hard on other planes as we go through our last week of 2025, handling obstinate disruptive energies which have no place with us in the new cycle. I know, this is ending the year on a strange note. Even though our last Stardrops covered planetary cycles up through December 31, this peculiar insight came to me today, as I worked on the four major odd Mercury transits we are having the last few days of December into January 3, 2026. (The next Full Moon). You’ll hear me ponder throughout this post, the issue of feeling disconnected, as if I’m not all there feeling as we wrap up 2025. You would think it would be exciting ending 2025, experience a sense of closure, completion, but I don’t feel that way. Do you? I feel like I’m walking through a dream.
The theme covers, the transit of Mercury inconjunct Jupiter, Uranus, square Saturn and Neptune, then leading up to the January 3, Full Moon in Cancer. Let’s break it down…
Planetary Cycles beginning December 27, 2025
End of year theme – Mercury finalizing its two month cycle in Sagittarius (Governs our mindset, where our head is at during the last week’s winding down of 2025; Hermes Mercurius guides us through the transition from one world to a new one)
This cycle may feel subtle, but never the less, it is happening in the background of our daily experiences. Mercury typically moves so quickly through the zodiac, it’s influence over our thinking patterns, our daily tasks, errands, and decisions, comes quickly, helps us make logical conclusions, organizes our day, supports order, then moves on.
But this end of the year Mercury, is not only aligning with the Galactic Center (28* Sagittarius), influencing our attitude and potentially invisible spiritual higher work, but is the primary transiting planet giving us some challenging tests. Cosmic streams of higher energies compel us to move into a truer, deeper alignment with truth and happiness. We are busy helping others, move up and it is not an easy work. These kind of events are called, initiations and serious attention is required with handling particular issues with our private inner work or in another dimension. Mercury is making difficult aspects to Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Jupiter and actually, this is the only planetary daily energies happening from the 27th up to the 31st (if we omit the Moon) I have to report to you for the next ten days! (which is unusual.) We are wrestling with challenging energies.

I felt compelled to give you an honest synopsis of what I think Mercury is doing with us right now. Each one of us is handling several layers of complex work, some involving our own wrap up of 2025 and elevating our standard of behavior, honesty, integrity in some way. But mostly, great work is going on in what we call, the inner planes. Something important is filtering out the old matrix of the past, and then filtering down into our outer world throughout 2026.
Also, I sense a unified community of support and concentration combined, doing this hard work. Again, this would be energetically, in our spirit bodies or as we sleep and enter other higher planes. If you are struggling with your every day attitude, feelings, and life circumstances, what really may be happening, is a concentration upon removing old patterns within the self, and also effectively dissolving negative entities, energies, matrices and actual forms on in the inner. You could be busy challenging and refusing to allow the darker habits and old familiar things (beings?) carry over into the new Matrix with you. This is exhausting work, so don’t get down on yourself if you feel life is hard, or you are just not all there right now. You may be preoccupied.
We seem to be filtering out corruption of some sort, in several ways – darker energies which could be looked at like a group consciousness or blob of energy, which has been living through circumstances, situations and even individuals, blotching things up, creating interference, stagnation, creating setbacks. Our work right now, is about preventing these things from passing through the wall, like a barrier from 2025 into 2026. As this goes on, I personally feel as if I’m not all here, a bit uninspired, challenged with lack of focus, etc…as I meditated upon this attitude I then began writing out this week’s planetary energies, and it came to me, we’re so busy handling energy, of course we’re not all physically present! So here are the Mercury transits which clued me into what is actually happening:
This week starts out with an inconjunct to Jupiter, December 26 into the early 28th. It represents our last minute scrambling to get things done, address particular issues, desire to cut through and be productive, could be riddled with weird disjointed emotions, frustrations, our outlook might not be that great, struggling with procrastination and lack of enthusiasm or lack of mental organization. Unusual adjustments are required in order to get self in a pro-active mode throughout this weekend. In regards to one’s daily tasks, timelines, appointments, deadlines for wrapping things up. You have to really push yourself to get things done.
Whether it’s about the closure of 2025, or simply end of month/year mindset, as to how one desires to prepare for the New Year, these days can be a psychological mind adjustment and how it relates to productivity, actually getting physical tasks, paperwork, projects handled, which have a timely closing up of things, deadline. You might feel that you’re just not into it.
Next, we have Mercury square Saturn…..Dec 29 – 31. This cycle of Mercury (remember, Mercury governs our mindset) is about handling a conscious energy of some kind, some setbacks, restrictions may occur. We struggle with limitations. Here is a strange thing I tuned into with this square – possibly at another energetic level. We’re preoccupied by something. It would be like our consciousness is partly here and partly working on another level of end of year tasks which can’t be neglected.
It would be a good idea to refrain from mental negativity, “What did I even accomplish today? …this month?….or in 2025 anyway?!….Beware of looking at one’s life situation, accomplishments (or lack of) too harshly. Again, this cycle could bring frustrations or an inability to get inspired. Small thinking, and some of it, focusing upon what did not get done, how circumstances may have set you back or issues which did not get accomplished. Again, I’m tuning into something else really, that is going on….our spiritual or finer bodies, you may not be aware of in your outer world, is working hard on a higher plane, transitioning the world, into a new way, right now. And we do this out of love, to help Earth progress through something, rid itself of something, or assist in a transition in some way. Each one of us might have a particular transition task with a person, a project or handling a situation right now. It might be mild, not that important, yet emits a mood as if waiting for something to change.
Next we have Mercury inconjunct Uranus….December 29 – January 1, 2026.
In addition to the above, this symbolizes a disjointed energy, obligations come to us out of nowhere, a shift required from us to possibly accommodate. Our emotions and nerves need to handle this adjustment. We add Uranus’ sharp sudden adjustment of circumstances, to our theme. Maybe it is an unexpected last minute request from someone, or a rush to add a task to the list of things we’re handling. It might change our priorities. Be careful traveling, driving, running errands quickly, rushing around and overlooking important things. Our technologies or other IT data activities are inconvenient. Issues with one’s daily schedule and all the details involved in executing projects properly during these days could feel a bit crazy. Again, we’re navigating through slightly incongruent planetary points of irritation so we need to be grounded, in our bodies, strong and clear, as we are actually assisting a transition from end of year into a fresh new Blueprint for 2026.
Mercury square Neptune Dec 29 – 31 has to be the most surreal of all the Mercury transits.
In addition to all the above discombobulated situations ongoing throughout these days we have a final challenge. Our bodies, strength of mind and nervous system may feel drained.
We could sense an almost unreal energy and for some, could feel checked out. Challenges with staying present, clear minded and grounded, even caring about normal things, could be fuzzy, unreal.
We could experience a more spacey disoriented state in these next few days.
Situations which could play upon our emotions, such as regrets, loss, weaknesses might come up in our minds. Fears, worries, etc…it’s time to separate out from these thoughts and realize they might not be your own.
It’s as if we are all in this together, handling these cycles as a community of light. We are witnessing and handling the tail end and resistance of the heaviness of the world interfering and its refusal to go into the fire, so we can transition. Are we engaged in a serious process, a great work in the Solar System, our Earth body of a transition of something heavy, which may have been attempting to set us back? So if you have been sensing an attitude problem, a heavier diffused consciousness which may have caused us to experience an apathy, a disoriented daily state we have had to struggle through, but it’s nothing wrong with you. It is as if something mysterious is in transition required to dissolve, dissipate and go into the fire, and not travel through the wall of light into the new world!
Only the heaven world understands. Yet we are being asked to usher in this transition for an ending of one cycle containing some consciousness or negative oppression from 2025 and not allow it to pass into 2026.
Affirmation:
“I AM the infinite power to reverse and filter out all unnecessary patterns I know longer identify with. My New World is free from the old lesser parts of me, as I walk through the barrier into an empowered realm.”
After passing through this threshold of New Years’ Day a change of energy towards liberation should occur.
Not only has Mercury been making these challenging disjointed energies to Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus and Saturn, as a lackluster closure for 2025, but this Mercury is aligning with the Galactic Center. This Galactic Center was also aligned with the December 19 New Moon. So we have a theme of re-alignment with the Center of our Galaxy 27-28-29* Sagittarius and with the last New Moon.
This signifies the latest assignment which was passed to us on December 19 for two weeks out,(last Stardrops) and the Mercury wrapping up Sagittarius (which has been for quite a while now, in the sign Sagittarius, since the Mercury Retro from end of October up through December). The Centaur Sagittarius is quite a spiritual eye opening traveler. It possesses expansive wisdom, a seer into the future trends, and has healing abilities. It concentrates upon wisdom, knowledge, journeys, passing into foreign new experiences, ushering in a higher standard for us to follow.
So, even though it’s only a fast moving Mercury, it has been quite powerful for over two months making key aspects to four planets in this last week of 2025, and no other planets have been active….this is significant work we are all in now, transitioning into a new era! I don’t know what else to say except be patient with yourself as we traverse into a new dimension of empowerment.
First Week of January 2026
January 1 – 7 peak, (3 – 5th) Venus conjoins Sun and Mars inconjunct Moon in Leo, oppose Hades.
January 6, 2026 is the exact and most important date for the 1st week as Venus conjoins Sun in Capricorn. This energy of Venus and the Sun provides encouragement, love, self worth and power into our world, to truly value our lives and make best use of our time for this year. In other words, the year starts out strong with a Venus/Sun conjunction.
This first week of 2026, sets the tone by setting up a new routine, new systems, the desire to get disciplined, being real with one’s future outcomes. Grab your calendar and lay out a timeline for your accomplishments to unfold, month by month.
Because of its conjunction to Mars in Capricorn, productivity, efficiency, achieving outcomes, practical goals (versus philosophical/dreamy aspirations) are all required to anchor down this year.
This includes realistic outlook on our money, budgets, departments we are in charge of, projects we oversee, and even psychological and spiritual accountability with others, with ourselves. Getting real, accountable and growing in these ares.
The opposition to Hades would symbolizes the heaviness in the world, attempting to disrupt and interfere with this massive growth and uplifting we are going to feel. We will be motivated, encouraged and driven. Hades would attempt to challenge us with continuing global events already in motion.
The inconjumct to the Moon in Leo, says there may be domestic, personal social or family adjustments requiring a shift, which can’t be ignored. We also need to accommodate, adjust, make allowances for people in our lives, adjusting our driven nature to spend time for love, fun, joy, social and family time. Nurturing the soul.
The Full Moon in Cancer, January 3, 2026
The Full Moon is always the culmination moment of something building and building over the past few weeks.
The theme is about preserving and cherishing our life and inner light, which is a zodiac sign Cancer theme. Any subtle interference which tries to take away your attention to your progress in the light, could be seen in Hades in Cancer right now. Also, any overkill of security demands, such as facial recognition, ID, checkpoints, and severe levels of public surveillance put into place would be part of this negative Cancer/Hades/Moon theme.
Hades is conjoined the Full Moon, along with Jupiter. Jupiter is suppose to be a protector of our souls, in the sign of Cancer, looking out for our well being, our money, security, looking out for public safety, our quality of life and culture preserved. But it also expands or massively highlights what it is aspecting to, and it is emphasizing Hades. This Full Moon conjoin Hades is never good, as it comes in the guise of protection, yet sabotages all things symbolic of the sign Cancer … ( Hades is seen as a form of portal of darkness) is coming to a head on January 3 on the Full Moon date.
January 3 would be the maximum moment of us transitioning from having to deal with a growing issue or challenge, partially within our own state of mind (as if it were a living thing, like that blob we spoke of earlier) and also globally and nationally.
It can shapeshift, moving around from situation to situation, (a theme replicating here and there) which has been attempting to deny us emotional contentment in our family, home or domestic life. It might even be including financial, personal needs, emotional needs. This cycle would have been very much highlighted since December 19th’s New Moon. On January 3, it comes to a head under the Full Moon. This is when it bursts and now we understand the full extent of the issues.
Coming to a head means, it reaches its maximum problematic moment, it maxes out with some drama and then the day after, it has expiated its most burdensome outburst of challenges, we are through it, on the other side of it… for some it is as a flood of events taking place and cresting on January 3. For some, it’s minuscule, uneventful, just some minor issues, but for other scenarios, especially global, there could be eruptions, including earthquakes.
The Full Moon’s Sun position, along with Mercury, Venus and Mars all in Capricorn, are all positioned to bring practical performance through targeting desired outcomes, increasing our self discipline, facing reality, accepting responsibilities, with much love and support, and efficiency in our affairs. It is holding the balance for this otherwise worrisome Moon/Hades energy. The Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars is also in sextile to the North Node in Pisces, providing support, friendship, collaboration. We’re not alone during the period of transitioning from 2025 into 2026. The transition into 2026 is strong about embracing your power and believing in your full ability to achieve the outcomes you know need to happen this next year!
The Full Moon, Hades and Jupiter conjoin the U.S. Conceptional 1776 Sun in Cancer, and Fixed Star Sirius.
Hades and the Full Moon in Cancer are exactly conjoin the U.S. Sun. This energy is highlighting a problem in the area of economy, a huge surge shown in the metals market, especially Silver. Silver is ruled by the Moon, as Gold is ruled by the Sun. The rapid rise in value of Silver could be part of this full moon energy continuing to escalate up through January 3, 2026.
Also, any economic and financial motivations towards aggressive attacks, confrontations, arrangements and collaborations which appear strange, unsettling and out of place, is due to this activation of the Full Moon on U.S. Sun. Emphasis upon what seems compromising or mysterious agreements, alliances and exchange of material goods/financial exchanges are ongoing and escalating up through January 3. With Mars at 14* Capricorn and Hades at 13* Cancer involved, aggressive actions increase, and all activities have an undercurrent of shadowy compromises and secretive plans (however, is anything ever transparent these days?)…as if something outside of the leaderships’ power, way way up above all, is threatening or pressing particular actions to be taken everywhere, suddenly….especially challenging the U.S…. out of the U.S.’s control and moral standard.
This is disturbing and may have been in the works for the past year and a half already since Hades was exactly on the U.S. Sun since July/ August 2024. Now it is aligned with the Full Moon at 13* Cancer, on the Sun, which is a new event coming to a head. Whenever Hades is involved, it will compromise the people’s security and future financial well being. Cancer deals with money, along with safety, land, real estate, boundaries, etc.. From now into 2026, the U.S. is engaged in stranger agendas, yet in general, I do feel the world is rising up towards becoming more spiritual. The good news about the Full Moon, is that once it crests on January 3, there may be fall out for a while, but it’s technically over after the 3rd.
Final Thoughts….
To wrap up the theme today, I see this time over the next few days as as a mysterious period. Get up each day with one thing on your mind you desire to accomplish. Try to keep your day simple, and celebrate that one achievement! Believe and know, your future year ahead will be successful, and you will accomplish what is important to achieve. it will happen, you can do it! Take one day at a time. Accomplish one thing, then celebrate that one thing being accomplished.
Do this every morning. That one thing which needs to get done. In your spare time, we work on our schedule for the year, as Saturn/Neptune moves into zero degrees Aries, February 2026, we are going to really feel the motivation and push to take action on our ideal outcomes, but for now, for the next seven days or so, our bodies and minds are walking out of a challenging 2025, as if walking through a wall… a barrier separating dimensions of reality. A big .part of us is still in this old world we’re leaving behind, and another portion of ourselves has already begun moving into the new life. We are all in Transition so begin thinking what you know it’s time to leave behind.
