My synopsis for today’s Stardrops has a curious twist. By the time I finished writing this post, I questioned how we could possibly be having such harmonious energies coming yet look at the world and the events recently which have been occurring. It did not match up.
Once I gave a lecture in 1999, “When could we expect brighter days and more positive Astrology supporting the start of the Aquarian Age?” I started with the astrology from 1999 all the way up through 2033, and noting that in 2025, significant transformations for the better would finally begin. Well we are here at that point now, and the planets say there are powerful changes for good coming, I still see this time as the beginning of amazing change, yet Mars continues to bring the drama.
Questionable events brought to light regarding the manifesto claiming drones are a China invasion upon U.S. happening right now.
With the transiting Mars retrograde moving back to 0 degrees Leo and 29* degrees Cancer, oppose, again, Pluto at 0-1* Aquarius, December 31 – January 6, we experience the same energy which occurred October 28 – November 6. it will be back one more time on April 25 – 30 2025. It can instigate theater, a performance of tragic events, a show of force and multi-layered manipulation to push a narrative. It can attempt to cause incidences resulting in deaths, terrorist acts, or other tragedies. We’ve been watching this Mars retrograde and the escalation of dramatic multi-layered events play out now since the beginning of late September 2024.
Even though there are extremely helpful uplifting energies coming soon from the outer planets, Pluto, Neptune, Uranus and Saturn beginning April/May 2025, and soon, the Venus retrograde March 1 in Pisces/Aries, I continue to watch the potentially destructive power of the Mars retrograde create one crisis after another. This Mars has been causing high tension from late October 2024 up through June 17 2025 instigating one crisis after another. I don’t trust it, and we have many months to go until it is done.
Could the positive Venus transits discussed below, along with other beneficial cycles coming, simply be the healing unguent the world requires during and after an escalation of challenging events occur? Or can we truly count on the new energies bringing the peace and solutions, upgrading humanity? So these are my thoughts as we enter 2025. I am hopeful, but quite tense like everyone else I know, trying to put the pieces of the new crazy puzzle together.
This is just the first quarter report as there are several other positive astrology cycles following for the future beginning in April/May and will continue for months, some, years. Is Mars interfering with this dream of a cycle, moving us into a deeper and more serious crisis where an escalation of trouble befalls us, or is it all just fake? Let me know your thoughts.

Pluto sextile the North Node January 5 exact peak
(December 18 – January 20, entire time frame of transiting Pluto in Aquarius sextile North Node in Aries.)
This cycle has been on for a while, and it supports millions of people globally, to connect dots, solve puzzles, research and investigate the key issues which are ongoing in the world. It can be good for business, increasing financial opportunities, increasing social cooperation, positive direction for businesses, but also a positive energy for meetings, get togethers, collaborations and experiencing optimism with outcomes no matter how grim something might seem.

January 6 Mars retrograde returns to Cancer (Last period was October up through November 4, 2025)
A return to emphasis upon all forms of safety, security, financial security. A return to focus on family, home, property or any thing which relates to domestic and/or national security and abundance. Hyper vigilance involving terrorism, social disruptions, invasion, troubling reveal of unconventional breaches of security and safety. This cycle will continue up through April 17, 2025, when if will return back to Leo. Mars station retrograde has been in Leo, the sign of performance, theater, acting, drama drama drama ….from November 4 – January 6, 2025. On April 17, Mars returns to Leo once again up through June 17, 2025. From October 2024 – June 17 2025, Mars has definitely escalated the concern for our safety, progress, security and intensified drama in the world tremendously, and that’s just what Mars does when it is in a retro cycle.
January 6 Mercury at 27* Sagittarius square Neptune at 27* Pisces.
A day of confronting a mess. Things which have been neglected need to be handled now. Keep crystal clear with communication, and avoid any temptation to blow off important issues. A tendency to want to avoid, escape duties, or space out disturbing issues. Confront and straighten out anything leftover from 2024 and you’ll feel better.
January 7 Mercury at 29* Sagittarius inconjunct Mars at 29* Cancer
Our thinking requires a shift from emotional vulnerability and sense of feeling stuck, unable to change our situations, to one of simply facing the next step and taking one issue at a time in order to move forward, if you can.
January 8 Sun at 19* Capricorn square Chiron at 19* Aries
Challenges with those in authority. The Sun in Capricorn represents authority figures, compliance, rules and expectations yet there are frustrations and challenges within us which fight against these expectations. Outsmart the conflict, and move through the resistance without putting too much thought into it all.
January 8 Mercury at 1* Capricorn square Nodes at 1* Aries/Libra
A bit of stress regarding social situations. Sometimes finances can be part of the stress, or a conflict shows up with communication and agreeing upon a course of action.
January 12 Mars at 27* Cancer trine Neptune at 27* Pisces.
Finally, a cycle of productivity, cutting through and motivation to put things in order. We can feel inspired as all is clear to us, what we want to achieve, experience or have something. The energy is there to make it happen now.
January 13 Sun at 23* Capricorn trine Uranus at 23* Taurus.
Order, organization, productivity take over. The day goes well and even some excitement might be shared with friends and family. It is an excellent time for improving on and completing previous projects. Anything you want to make better, this is the day for it!
January 14 Venus at 12* Pisces square Jupiter at 12* Gemini
This day isn’t the best time to trust a first encounter with a new person, whether it is friendship, interview, romantic date or a new collaboration. The day may seem to go well, yet there are key details not obvious which show up later on in the relationship which could lead to disappointment. Either your judgment or another’s judgement, may be off.
Be practical, frugal and in reality throughout this day. Don’t assume another is on the same page as you.
January 15 Sun at 26* Capricorn oppose Mars at 26* Cancer
We want things wrapped up, in order, and concrete yet between the 14 -16th could lead to others at the last minute, bringing their issues into your life, where now you might need to adjust and accommodate their new situation.
January 16 Mercury at 11* Capricorn inconjunct Jupiter at 11* Gemini
The agenda is to maintain protocol, order and efficiency, in order to reach an important end result, yet something comes up which requires a shift of plans, a piece of information? A discovery or talk with someone which adds new clues we have to adjust and take into consideration now.
January 17 Sun at 27* Capricorn sextile Neptune at 27* Pisces
Kindness, support and cooperation with others go well this day.. This is a good day for all forms of healing, medical procedures, fitness or emotional health decisions. It is good for discussions or support we might have with others who might help with getting our goals met. It is a good day where inspired planning and becoming empowered as a result of these talks can finally breakthrough for us.
January 18 Venus at 16* conjoin Saturn at 16* Pisces sextile Mercury at 16* Capricorn
A day for commitment, loyalty towards others and acting responsibly in our relationships. Our expectations and standards are high and lets everyone know what kind of expectations we have. Serious decisions could me made with our money and should be constructive. New plans can happen with our friends and loved ones.
The great new cycle, beginning with Neptune conjoin Node and Venus Retrograde
January 19 – 21 North Node at 0* Aries – 29* Pisces conjoin Neptune at 28-29* Pisces, sextiles Sun and Pluto at 0*- 1* Aquarius
(The description here is for those savvy with astrology lingo – I couldn’t help myself writing out the line up of planets which are moving into powerful positions this 2025.)
I feel the Venus retrograde is the KEY launching of the New Year, the new energy, and then Uranus, Neptune, Saturn and Pluto noted below, take it from there. Some of these 2025 cycles run with consistent positive energies for years.
This astrological period marks the start of an important cycle playing out for several years.
- Pluto moved into Aquarius, not returning back into Capricorn again, sextile Neptune moving into Aries.
- Neptune beginning to move into Aries beginning to sextile Uranus moving into Gemini.
- The Node conjoins Neptune starting January 20 2025.
- Uranus entering Gemini will begin to trine Pluto in Aquarius and Saturn moves into Aries also sextile Uranus, sextiles Pluto, conjoins Neptune.
- Pluto in Aquarius begins to trine Uranus newly traversing through Gemini.
- Saturn and Neptune conjoins in Pisces, then returns with another conjunction, both moving into Aries.
- The North Node moving out of Aries into Pisces, conjoining the Venus retrograde in Pisces.
Several of these planetary aspects go on for quite a while…..For this optimum period of productive change in the world (and in our own lives) at the same time Venus Saturn and the Node conjoins and Venus turns retrograde which increases its power in the Earth, launching this entire cycle for 2025 with one of healing, empowerment and faith.
Add to all of this, Mars recently turned retrograde, December 6 2024 up through February, yet continuing in its Cancer/Leo transit up to June 17, 2025.
All of these planets lining up in this manner from end of January up through May,and are creating quite a theme of transcending the past fog, density and frustration. Even the Mars retrograde makes positive aspects to these planets off and on.
Let’s break this down transit by transit, then capture the full synthesis of what could be the meaning of this momentous time.
Starting January 19 – 22 Sun conjoins Pluto at 29* Capricorn – 1* Aquarius.
A concentration of Pluto power, deeply resonating with universal concepts of Aquarius :
Freedom, fairness is in the air, direct honesty, accountability and a strong attempt by influencers, leadership, prominent public figures to provide innovation with addressing corporate, media, social needs. A trend to attempt at least, to move the world into an exciting future such as all forms of advanced currencies, space, medical, political, humanitarian transformation.
This period begins a time where the people demand and expect greater honesty, transparency, and where secrets are revealed, shocking exposures, accountability towards inhumane acts. Transforming existing situations and conditions on the earth towards higher functioning, improved conditions. An infusion of Higher intelligence and innovation poured into society in every way is starting.
Pluto in Aquarius assists with bringing innovations into new policies, structures, organizations and releasing the energy sources, free power sources and the money flowing to transform our future. Unexplainable technologies are openly discussed and will be explored, digging deeper into the history, financial drain on the country, etc.. at least admitting their origin and existence is real, yet can not be revealed, but acknowledge they do exist.
Add the North Node in a sextile to this configuration, and you have greater benefits for society in general. This period enhances the majority of people in agreement with how key issues globally should be handled, and transformed. Again this cycle is still, January 17 – 22, 2025
Neptune conjoin Node
Now add Neptune to this array of planets, in Pisces conjoin the Node which is just moving into Pisces, January 20 – February (all month). This period contains a magical release of love, healing, intelligence, aligning people of light into an elevated position. Neptune and the Node is exciting, and provides many with a greater power to solve the previous issues of degradation and astral effluvia on the planet. It potentially releases a power to cause the people of Light to take and control the higher ground. It is also extremely idealistic and releases hope and intervention. This can take place globally, and watch for it in your own personal lives.
We’ll go into Uranus entering Gemini, Neptune moving into Aries, Saturn conjoin Neptune, Uranus trine Pluto, Neptune sextile Pluto, Neptune sextile Uranus in later Stardrops this 2025. Venus raising the frequency and creates a miracle for Earth?
Venus begins to turn retrograde in Aries at 10 degrees on March 1, 2025, but begins its influence as early as January 25 when it is at 22* Pisces and locks onto its very first repeating aspect, Mars at 22* Cancer. This occurs on January 25, April 6 and ends with its last trine to Mars on May 22, 2025.
The second planet Venus connects with is to the North Node and Neptune at 27* Pisces, again at 29* Pisces and to the Node only 26* Pisces, then Neptune one last time as it moves into 1* Aries….these dates are February 1, March 27 – April 1 and April 23 to May 2.
The third planet Venus connects with during its journey retrograde will be Pluto in a sextile; February 7 – March 21, peaking exact Feb 7 and Mar 21, and it’s third time, May 6, 2025.
These aspects are all positive and can alter events in our lives, bring a magical release of love, helpfulness with Venus’ ability to move blocks out of the way, mend hurts, bring resolution and uplift our heart and soul into a higher place.
Let’s go into these three Venus cycles in greater detail.
Venus retrograde conjoin Neptune and Node
The conjunction to Neptune and Node, which we have already explored earlier, brings hope and elevation globally, will add an element of new values, new ways of looking at the unity of a particular soul race of people all over the world in the millions. Any time a planet conjoins the Node, we have an influence which deeply impacts social ideas, popular trends and attitudes, It influences new values as if they were simply accepted as if always been there. Venus rules over values, our social preferences, love, beauty and the arts, the value of a currency, value of a society, values for standards of living. Venus not only deals with love, but all things we need to build bridges between communities previously alienated or separated. It builds bridges between the past world, which is rapidly fading away, and a new one.
Venus retrograde sextile Pluto
Venus sextile Pluto brings the new engineering, products, economy into policy. It establishes workable systems, replacing old systems, archaic equipment, previously valued ways of working, banking, connecting with each other into a much more supportive synthesis where one desires to be positive and empathetic towards all situations, looking for the ways to heal, doctor, improve and address issues in the most forthright constructive pro-active way.
In Aries, Venus takes action, does not pass it off for others to fix forever, but jumps on the issues, valuing life, human life, cooperating with existing systems and implementing quickly solutions.
Venus retrograde trine Mars
Venus trine Mars will energize our progress with national and global security, engineering innovation and implementation, the discussions and collaboration required to put these ideas into action, and target quickly, detrimental situations and eliminate them. This is because of Venus in Aries call to action energy, trine Mars which has that militant and proactive behavior inherent within.
It is a harmonious combination of cooperation, constructive sharing of solutions and ingenious inventions, tech, meetings and collaborations geared towards focusing on progress rather than posturing for power.
It would be a good idea to locate where Venus retrograde is transiting in your own natal charts. This energy should bring healing, support, blessings and uplifting experiences for you. Even it Venus is aspecting planets in your chart’s planets which might be stressful, because of Venus’ nature, good always comes out of this Venus retrograde cycle, even though part of it might be a lesson or growth period. It starts out very subtle, as it moves up to March 1, you might notice, something unique is occurring in your life which is creating a unique special situation.
I’m looking forward to going into the rest of these epic planetary changes, all occurring this year, 2025, which to me, is incredible.
